oneworld's central management team strengthened with four new recruits16 May 2001
oneworld's™ central management team has been further strengthened with the appointment of four new recruits as it takes on more work in the development of more new services from the alliances' various project groups drawn from its member airlines.
Three of them will focus on Marketing matters, reporting to John McCulloch, Vice-President Marketing:
- Petra Mayer will join the team in June as Manager Marketing Planning and Product Development, transferring from oneworld member British Airways, where she is currently Product Manager Marketing Services in its Frankfurt offices.
- Malcolm Pryor took up his appointment as Manager Frequent Flyer Programme Development last week, moving from oneworld's Australian member Qantas, where he has been Airline Partners Manager Relationship Marketing at its Sydney head office.
- Robert Antoniuk has already started work as Manager Brand Performance and Development. He previously worked with Canadian insurance company ICBC as Marketing Services Manager and before that with the HSBC banking group.
The fourth new face in oneworld's Vancouver central offices is Shelley Merrison, who has joined as Airports Customer Service Analyst, reporting to Vice-President Airports Customer Experience Ricardo Milani. Shelley worked in a wide range of airport, customer service and operational areas with Canadian Airlines between 1979 and 2000, including as its Manager Alliance Operations.
oneworld's newly appointed Vice-President Sales Maunu von Lueders consolidates the central oneworld sales team in the alliance's Vancouver corporate office later this month, after an induction in London, where Michael Blunt, who joined the alliance as Vice-President Public Relations earlier this month from British Airways, has just opened a new oneworld facility.
The fifth oneworld Vice-President is IT boss Bob McNair, completing the team reporting directly to oneworld Managing Partner Peter Buecking.
