Chance for university students to attend Economist conference

31 August 2012

University students are being offered a chance to attend a major conference staged by The Economist in Asia this year - with travel included, courtesy of the oneworld® alliance.

For a chance to win the tickets, they need to submit an essay here, by expressing their viewpoints on whether China's economy will overtake the USA's within a decade.

Entries, of no more than 500 words, must be in English or Simplified Chinese, and submitted by 8 October 2012.

Submissions will be judged by a member of The Economist's editorial team.

The prize will include a complimentary pass to attend an Economist Conference of the winner's preference held in 2012-2013, with return flights in Economy Class on oneworld member airlines.
