  • Airport Arrival: The time to get to the boarding gate may be increased due to controls that are being carried out in certain terminals, so Iberia suggests arriving at the airport well in advance.

  • Enhanced Cleaning: Iberia has reinforced the intensity and frequency of cleaning, not only inside the aircraft, but also with the tools, equipment, vehicles and facilities used. It also uses the recommended anti-COVID-19 products as a special treatment for surfaces throughout the aircraft.

  • HEPA Filters: Cabin air is renewed every 2 or 3 minutes and passes through high efficiency HEPA filters that eliminate viruses and bacteria with a 99.99% effective rate. This means that the cabin air is basically as pure as the air required in the surgical area of a hospital.

Malaysia Airlines have put in place various enhanced protective measures with their customers and employees’ best interest in mind for a safer flying experience:

  • Temperature Screenings: Digital temperature screenings conducted at the Golden Lounge and boarding lounge for all customers prior to flight at some airports.

  • Enhanced Cleaning and Sanitisation: "Fly Confidently" as Malaysia Airlines works closely with the Malaysian Ministry of Health to follow its guidelines on COVID-19 health precautions, including the cleaning of aircraft and common areas in airport. A special aircraft-manufacturer approved chemical disinfectant is used to clean and disinfect all hard surfaces of aircraft. Lavatories are also cleaned periodically during flight.

  • Hygiene Protocols: All customers and airline employees must wear a face mask at the airport and on board. Golden Lounge staff are also equipped with surgical gloves when handling food and beverage. Cabin crew are equipped with safety goggles and surgical gloves.

  • Hygiene Kit: Upon boarding, customers will receive a Hygiene Kit, which contains a face mask, hand sanitiser and sanitising wipe.

  • Check In Online: We recommend checking in online to reduce interactions at the airport. Download your boarding pass to your phone through the Qatar Airways app or print your boarding pass at home.

  • Checked Baggage Only: Check the baggage requirements at your destination, as hand luggage may not be accepted. To minimize contact at the airport, print your Q-tag baggage tag at home.

  • Wear a Face Mask: We now require all passengers to wear a face covering at all times, from boarding to disembarkation. To ensure you are comfortable, we recommend bringing your own from home.

  • Wear a Face Shield: Face shields will be distributed at Hamad International Airport and are to be worn when boarding and disembarking. Economy Class passengers are required to wear them on board, except when eating or drinking. Business Class passengers are asked to wear them at their own discretion.

  • Arrive at Least 3 Hours Before Your Flight: There may be delays at the airport due to extra check in procedures. Ensure you have plenty of time to check in safely and make your way to your gate.

  • Social Distancing: Please ensure you maintain a 1.5 metre distance from other passengers at all times, especially during the check-in and boarding process.

Royal Jordanian

Because the safety of our passengers is our top priority, Royal Jordanian made some important changes. At the airport:

  • We recommend our passengers check in online to reduce social interaction at the airport.

  • Passengers are requested to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior departure time.

  • Carry-on baggage is not allowed for safety purposes; however, passengers are allowed to carry small personal belongings onboard (valuable items, electronics, and medication).
